You know I love me some organization. Like big time. If you follow us on Instagram, you’ll know that my Stories are often filled with cupboards I’m organizing, and mini projects I’m tackling.
But I’ll let you in on a little secret. My master bedroom closet? Yah. That project’s one that’s been on the list for a while.
It’s just so daunting.
I mean, it has some built ins, which really help. But I just don’t know how to use the space most effectively.
So, when Jen from Neat Method reached out about teaming up to organize a space in our house, I knew IMMEDIATELY our master closet was the space that needed her finesse and expertise.
Some quick background on Neat Method: they’re a snazzy home organization company with Organizers (like Jen!) across the US and Canada. They’ve got the experience, training and general awesomeness to take your space from chaos to organized perfection, and there’s nothing they can’t handle.
So, let’s get back to the magic Jen worked in our space. This is what the closet looked like before. We removed a TV from the middle, had a whole bunch of shelves with stuff just crammed in, and generally just weren’t maximizing the space.
And then I met with Jen.
She came in to do a walk-through of the closet. Measured the space, took some photos, asked me some questions, and then took all of that information away to work her magic and build a plan for the space.
Then, we booked a day for her and a Neat teammate to come back and overhaul the space. My only job was to ensure everything we wanted in the closet was clean (not folded), so they could make sure they made space for everything we needed.
The day the magic was to happen, the ladies arrived at our house at 830am. They walked in with their supplies in hand, and disappeared into the bedroom. And I went on with my day.

I’m not kidding.
I took the kids to school, tackled a few hours of work, ran errands (checked in on them a few times to make sure they were hydrating!), and generally just handled my day.
And then around 5 Jen asked me to come up and see the space:
I mean, it’s stunning. The space is just so dang functional.
Everything has a (labelled!) place, it all makes sense, and it’s just lovely.
I can’t believe I didn’t own drawer organizers before. But they’ve changed my life.
Before Jen reached out, I’d just simply never considered an organizing service before. But after they left, my husband and I both said “yep, we get it”. Having an expert look at your space and plan it for you is massively valuable.
And Jen can help you tackle any space in your home. Moving into a new space and don’t know how to organize it? Yep, they can help manage that too. Live outside the GTA? Jen has a virtual organization service, where she can plan out your space for you and send you the plan to execute!
