Stay-At-Home Camp Day #2: Superheroes and Sparkles

  • Dress Up!
    • Throw on a cape and a mask and find something sparkly to add to your outfit… because you’re in for a day of sparkly superhero fun!
  • Learn to Draw Superheroes
  • Make a “Choose Your Superpower” Snack Tray
    • Use some of these ideas for inspiration and set out a fruit and veggie tray and then let your kids assign “superpowers” to each one. Make labels, and then chow down to stock up on your favourite powers!
  • Be a Super-reader with Super Why!
    • If you have Netflix, choose a couple episodes of Super Why to watch. It’s about a reading superhero and it’s a great way to support literacy with a bit of screen time!
  • Build a Superhero HQ
    • Pull out the Lego and challenge your kids to create the Superhero HQ of their dreams! For Lego experts, you can add in parameters like it must include: two levels, a door, two windows and a space for their superhero vehicle to park!
  • Move Like a Superhero
    • This Cosmic Kids Yoga session channels your favourite hero’s powers, gets your body moving and even talks about how we could add some of those powers into our own lives!
  • Free Superhero Themed Worksheets

Stay-At-Home Camp Day #3: Safari Adventure

  • Dress up!
  • Learn to Draw a Lion
  • Create a Safari Snack
  • Safari Documentary
    • If you have Disney+ check out the African Cats kids documentary to learn more about the kings of the Savanna
  • Build a Zoo
    • Using some of the animals you might see on a Safari, build a zoo for your animals (you can use animal figurines, or pictures you draw yourself). Have your kids either draw a map of your zoo or build a 3D zoo using animals and fences. Then have your kids pretend they’re the zookeeper. Make lists of what you’d feed each of the animals, and what would you include in their habitat to ensure the animals were happy and healthy! Every animal will need different food and different features in their environment.
