Valentine’s Day is one of those Holidays that gets caught in the ‘do we celebrate, or don’t we’ cross-hairs. Trust me, I hear the ‘it’s just an over-hyped holiday’ naysayers loud and clear, but I’m going to tell you why we celebrate… and this year, why a little sandalwood and mint are getting in on the action.
It’s All About the Love
Our life is crazy. I spend my days wrangling a toddler, and caring for an infant (check out this post for exactly how we feel about these newborn days). Most days pass in a blur, and it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos. My hubby and I are thoughtful about telling every member of our family that we love them each day. But there’s only one day a year where you can have a full-on love bonanza!
Valentine’s Day.
It’s a chance to pause, tell our loved ones how much they mean to us, and make a sweet gesture. And frankly, I can’t think of a single thing worth celebrating more than Love.
Sandalwood and Mint
And those sweet gestures I mentioned? Often for us they’re a hand-written note, or a favourite breakfast made with care (heart-shaped pancakes anyone?)… but sometimes, they get a little bit more elaborate.
If you happen to be in the market for a sweet gesture with a little style, let me do you a solid (do people still say that?). My new favourite watch from JORD is the way to go. This beauty is made from Sandalwood and has a gorgeous mint coloured face (see what I did there?!). It’s honestly the perfect blend of function and style. And a fun little bonus? You can have it engraved with a love note. Ahem. Sweet gesture anyone?
Looking for something for your man? They’ve got gorgeous watches for the boys too.
