With an 18-month-old and a 3-year-old in our house, most days feel like we’re juggling one-handed in a circus, caught in the middle of a tornado.
In fact, it seems like just about every day there’s a new bunch of ‘firsts’ happening in our house… like, you know, the first time a toddler has a public meltdown in a shopping cart or the first time they scream for an ENTIRE three-hour car ride to the cottage. Guys we drive to the cottage regularly and I’m just going to say it’s happened more than once… or twice… give me strength.

But, here’s the thing about parenthood. The thing that gets me Every. Dang. Time.
Just when you feel like you’ve been thrown waaaaaay more than your fair share of those INSANE firsts, those sweet little (screaming) monkeys swoop right in with a big old dose of amazing firsts.
Like the first time your babe says ‘mama’, or the first time they write their own name and beam with pride, or the first time they ask for cookies to be their ‘pick’ at the grocery store and you say ‘yes’, and it blows their sweet little mind!
No, seriously. Let’s pause there for a hot minute. Because with young kids, cookies aren’t something I want to say Yes to all the time. I mean, finding something that they love, and that makes them feel like a big kid, but that also isn’t PACKED with sugar is really hard.
But in toddler-world, I know how empowering a Yes can be for them. So, finding a snack like My First Bear Paws that lets us share a “Better First” with our kiddos minus the guilt (they only have 5 grams of sugar!) is basically magical.
