It’s summer in Canada, and for Emmett that means it’s time to get his Hot Dog on! The kid loves a good dog. But to be honest, in the past we’ve tried to limit them to a once-in-a-while treat that he gets at the cottage. They were one of those things he (and his dad!) loved, but I just didn’t feel great about giving him.
Well, enter Maple Leaf Foods and their brand new promise to make their food with real, simple or natural ingredients.
I kid you not, flip over the package of Top Dogs and you’ll find these ingredients in big, bold letters:
Chicken, pork; water, tapioca starch, sea salt, spice, vinegar, cultured celery extract, cane sugar, cherry powder, smoke
That’s it. Seriously! I mean, that’s an ingredient list I can totally get behind!
