If you guys read our last post (all about travel tips for your toddler), then you’ll know that we’re a bit of a travelling road show at Christmas time. We’re lucky enough to have family on both sides that are within driving distance that we love spending time with, and we split our time roughly 50/50 between the locations for the Holidays! All the travel means we get to spend lots of time with our amazing fam, but it also means we’re on the road for a little over two weeks with a one-year-old! Yipes!
We’ve learned (through some serious trial and error) that food is basically the way to Em’s heart, and that having easy, delicious and nutritious eats on hand while we’re travelling is key to keeping him happy! Most of the time Em eats what we eat, and 90% of the time with family that’s easy to pull off. But when we’re with a big group, there will always be those times that for one reason or another, Em needs to eat when it’s not handy for everyone else (we’re on the road, on a hike, everyone else is busy with an activity, or you know… it’s just 2pm and he’s STARVING). So, we’re always on the hunt for the best quality snacks and portable meals to have on hand when we’re away from home! Which leads us to our ABC review for the day…. We’re talking about Baby Gourmet Organic Baby Food and Snacks! Read On…
AFFORDABILITY:
We’ve done some digging, and single serve units of organic baby food range in price from roughly $2 – $2.50 (with some outliers ranging even higher). Baby Gourmet pouches are also priced anywhere from $2-$2.50 depending on the format (check them out HERE), which puts them right in the average range from a pricing perspective… but read on to see why we think they’re way above average from an ingredient perspective!

There’s a lot to love about Baby Gourmet. Here are a few things that top our list:

- The recipes and ingredients in every product are drool-worthy. I’m not kidding… try to check out the Coconut, Kiwi and Mangosteen with Quinoa variety without getting hungry, I dare you!
- There’s nothing I don’t recognize on the label. It’s a quick and dirty test I use for Em’s food in general, and Baby Gourmet passes with ease. Baby Gourmet says they’re the ‘next best thing to homemade’, and I believe them.
